Ann’s current project explores a forgotten muddy lane that has existed for over 1000 years. It is mucky, with a difficult terrain and has no destination or views. It appears at first glance to be barren and yet is so alive. Ann's work glorifies and honours this lane and its cyclical rhythms by bringing to the viewer a glimpse of the beauty and detail that are invisible to those who rush past. This piece highlights that when an object is selected for display, it is elevated to something of significance and value……. even if it is in decay.
