Fabric of Humanity

From our earliest existence textiles have been central to our lives and in one form or another we are never without them.

Fabric is sold in rolls with very little thought of how it is made; this work mimics the commercially sold material but also considers the entwined history of mankind and textiles. Studying the woven timeline allows us to view our past, reflecting our evolution over 40,000 years.

All of us will have an individual memory connected to piece of cloth however viewing this timeline can also pull at the threads of collective memory spanning the history of humanity.
